It was the best show I've ever seen with this line-up. The venue was packed
and had great atomosphere as well. (You can see how cool the setlist was,
on the picture which Shelby took. By the way, what do the numbers in the
right side of each tunes mean? I guess it might be the setting of the equalizer
or something, but I forgot to ask...)
The show was opened by everybody's favorite at live, "Lay It Down".
The impact of the intro riffs will never die. Since it was a Halloween
party, I didn't know how many music fans there knew RATT's songs. But,
they did pretty well, it was proven enough 'til when RATT played the 2nd
song on the list. I couldn't help myself to say 'wow' at hearing they played
'You're in Love' as the 2nd tune, because, you know, they always had played
it during the 'encore'.
It was a nice surprise that 'Over the Edge' came back on the setlist. I
believe that's one of the tough songs to play at live, (If you've ever
played in the band, you know what I mean... That kind of slow song - I
don't mean ballad - is harder than fast song to play great.) but RATT always
play it great, of course. Actually, the song like that makes RATT more
special, IMO. (If I could request them one more song to get back on the
set list from the '99 album, it would be 'Dead Reckoning'. *hint hint*)
During the encore, I got a guitar pick from Warren... The story I wanna
tell you is that the girls who were standing next talked to me when the
show was over. "Did you get the pick!?" I said yes, then they
said, "Awww, that's great, We're happy for you!!" I was so happy
to get the pick and at those girls' sweetness. The venue was filled with
the heat of the band and fans.
I guess that the casual fans around you think RATT is one of the 'Hair
Bands', and maybe it bothers you sometimes. But, you don't have to be frustrated,
because, RATT is definitely a rock band, a hard-rockin band, you know that
and they can prove it anytime any place.
Wanna tell you a funny episode at the show... I wrote it was a Halloween
party in the beginning. Many people there were putting on their favorite
Halloween costumes. Among of them, the funniest one's were, a guy putting
on the tight t-shirt (which was covering rubber-made huge boobs) with crossed
belt saying "Queen of the Wet T-Shirt contest", and a severed-head
rubber mask guy who you can see on the picture Shelby took. The severed-head
guy was seeing the show at the edge of the stage in Warren's side all the
time. What funny was, since he was SO standing out in the crowd, RATT boys
couldn't help themselves looking at him and laughing. It was hilarious!
Plus, I found some witches and clowns were dancing to the songs in the
middle of the audience. What a fun night!
Oh, by the way, here's theRATTGANG.com's scoop... Warren is a Motorola
user. hehehe
I have to give Super Special Thanx to Shelby, for all of her friendship
and great pix, and she kindly came to Hollywood to pick me up & give
me the ride to Riverside. It was such a great, FUN FUN FUN time that we
spent together. (You can't escape from having a great time when you're
with her!)
Then... Oh my, what can I say?
I don't think there's so many bands who are such sweet and cool to the
fans. Maybe I shouldn't say the details here on the net, so, I just can
say to RATT and Mrs. DeMartini like... "Thank you, thank you, thank
you... How many times should I say that to express my gratitudes enough?"
- Nao, one of the luckiest fans in the world
(Sorry for my weird English and making the report short.)
